I wasn't able to go to the game tonight because of a previous engagement, and I really did not think I was missing much. But I just got home to find that Capt Shreve only trails Evangel 28-21 in the third quarter. The only points Evangel's defense has given up this year in district was a field goal to Haughton. Airline scored 7 on Evangel, but it was a 90 yd. pick-six.
I guess the old saying "on any given night" is true tonight. Capt. Shreve is the next to worse team in 1-5A yet they are giving Evangel their only competition of the year in district.

They just moved into the 4th Qtr. and Evangel has pushed it to 42-21. No matter what the final score is, I am absolutely amazed that Capt. Shreve could score 21 on one of the best defenses I have seen in a long time.

They are now half-way through the 4th Qtr. and it is 56-21 Evangel.
Maybe the bye week last week affected them a little, which concerns me because they will now have a bye week the first week of the play-offs.
